The Kansas landscape is a diverse array of private and publicly managed natural resources; some for production of timber and other resource based products, some for protection (e.g. natural areas, mitigated wetlands, conservation easements) and some for specialized use as parklands.  K-State faculty in the Department of Horticulture, Forestry and Recreation Resources produce and disseminate research based information in the areas listed below.
